Packaging

​

All hand-bound journals will arrive wrapped in honeycomb paper inside a kraft mailer box. The refillable notebooks such as the Kislaps will be inside canvas pouches.

Materials

​

Our main materials are full grain and top grain cowhide leather and paper. Two-thirds of our leather needs are sourced locally in the Philippines and one-third imported by our supplier. The blank, ivory-coloured paper sheets are made of ECF (elemental chlorine free) ecological pulp, 85 gsm, acid-free paper from Italy. We also use 120 gsm paper (also from Italy) and Canson 200 gsm watercolour paper for custom orders.

Care Tips

​

Leather is durable and can be a very forgiving material. Most of our leather achieve a beautifully aged and worn patina the more it is used, but it still needs some care to have a longer life. Avoid getting the cover wet as it can affect its tones and textures. If it did get wet, let it dry naturally. To get rid of dirt, wipe it gently with damp cloth. Do not use soap or other harsh cleaning agents.

Repair and Rebinding

​

We offer free services for minor repair needs such as reattaching metal charms and cleaning of covers with leather conditioner. We charge corresponding fees to cover labor and materials costs for major repairs such as lock repairs and elastic and cover replacement. 

​

We also offer rebinding services for all small and regular hand-bound journals with new blank sheets once you have filled out the pages. Rebinding fee is P250 for small size and P350 for regular size.

​

The buyer will need to send us the journal or its leather cover and shoulder all shipping fees.
